Lunar New Year at Arthur
In creating our 2026 Lunar New Year menu, we reflected on the generations of cooks and traditions that continue to shape the way we work.
Chinese technique has left a deep imprint on our kitchen. The depth drawn from a sauce like XO, paired with the uniqueness of Australian produce, is central to what Arthur explores day in and day out.
This menu turns to some of our favourite flavours and producers. Australia’s seafood, among the best in the world, becomes the centrepiece. A nod to abundance, gathering and celebration. Moreton Bay bug, line-caught kingfish, native XO pippies, steamed nannygai. Ingredients that speak of this place, expressed through techniques that have long inspired us.
A considered participation in one of Sydney’s great culinary traditions, honouring the influence Chinese cuisine has had on Arthur.
This is a menu that stays true to Arthur and what you have come to expect from us, with a temporary focus on these influences.
